Community Online
The first
WebCTea Designers Group Meeting of the Fall 2005 semester focused
on the topic of Building Community Online using WebCT. Dr. Laura
Zieger, of the Educational Technology Department, presented research
in the area of Building Community and shared various techniques
she uses to facilitate communication and collaboration in the courses
she teaches online. Dr. Zieger’s presentation was followed
by an open forum during which faculty had the opportunity to share
their approaches to building community in online or web-enhanced
courses.
