Blogging,
Podcasting, and RSS Feeds
Dr.
Chris Shamburg, Professor in the Educational Technology Department,
gave participants an overview and examples of podcasting, blogs,
and RSS feeds. He explained how they can be used for professional
development and for work with students. Collectively, these technologies
are part of what is called the Web 2.0 or the Read/Write Web, a
movement to make the Web and content more democratic and accessible.
The presentation covered the technologies and current educational
practices using them. Dr. Shamburg also presented a variety of other
resources and ideas for incorporating them into a learning environment.
