Hardware
and Software Requirements
The following
are the minimum hardware and software requirements for online courses.
Please note that your professor may require additional hardware
or software. Please refer to the University’s
Online Search Feature to search the GothicNet
Portal for notes on additional hardware or software your professor
may require.
- Computer
with one of the following operating systems
- Windows
XP or Vista
- Macintosh
OS10.3-10.5
- Internet
Connection
- Although
a dial-up connection may permit course access, a broadband
connection is strongly recommended to participate fully in
courses and complete course requirements
- A Blackboard
CE certified or compatible browser and correct version of the
Java plug-in. Please see the Blackboard browser tune-up page for
further information: http://www.webct.com/tuneup
- Anti-virus
software updated on a regular basis

The above are minimum requirements for all courses. Your professor
may require you to download and/or purchase other software for your
course(s).
