Browser Versions

Determine the browser version on a computer running Windows by following these directions:

 

  1. Open browser window
  2. Locate the help file menu and click on it
  3. Click on the link that says "About Internet Explorer" or "About Netscape" depending on which browser you are using
  4. The popup window will show you which browser version you are using.

Determine the browser version on a Macintosh computer by following these directions:

1.     Open your Safari web browser by clicking on the Safari icon in the dock.

2.     Click on Safari in your Safari menu, located at the top left corner of your screen.

3.     A drop-down menu will now appear. Choose the option labeled “About Safari.”

4.     A dialog box will now appear containing the browser's version number.
