Quiz Question Randomization

• In the Designer Options tab, click on the Quiz tool.
• Select the quiz to edit but clicking the appropriate radio button.
• Click the “Edit” link from the right panel. The Quiz Editor screen appears.
• Under Options, click “Add question set.” The Question Browser appears.
• Select the category containing the question you want to add (to add them all). If you would prefer to select specific questions from the category, select the check boxes next to the questions you want to include in the set.
• Click “Add Selected.”
• The Quiz Editor screen appears, displaying the question set in one row of the quiz or survey questions table.
• In the Select column, from the drop-down list, select the number of questions from the set that WebCT should randomly select and display when a student takes the quiz.
• Under the Points column, in the Points text box, enter the number of points to allocate to each question in the set. For example, if your set contains four questions and you allocate 10 points to the set, then each question in the set is worth 10 points.
• To update the total points for the quiz, click Update Total at the bottom. The quiz total is updated.

Note: Before you release the quiz to students, you must update the total points for the quiz by clicking Update Total from the Quiz Editor.
